Introducing New Braunfels Chiropractor Dr. Kip Mayo

Dr. Kip Mayo

The staff at Stamps Chiropractic: A Creating Wellness Center is proud to introduce Dr. Kip Mayo to their clinic.   After ten years as a teacher and a coach Dr. Mayo returned to college to earn his degree in chiropractic.  Upon graduating from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Mayo and his family moved to New Braunfels to begin his practice within Dr. Stamps’s  clinic.  “Dr. Stamps and I have been friends since childhood, and I have routinely seen him for my own chiropractic care.  When I graduated from chiropractic school I wanted to work with the best, so I moved to New Braunfels to work with Dr. Stamps.”

Dr. Mayo taught history at Lockhart High School in Lockhart, Texas for eight years before entering chiropractic school.  He also coached tennis for three years while at Lockhart, and before that he coached football, basketball and track in La Vernia, Texas.  “I reached a point in my career where I had to begin my study in administration and perhaps become a principal or else do something totally new.  I was told the best chiropractors are also the best teachers.”  That and a desire to help people achieve better health is what convinced Dr. Mayo to go to chiropractic school.

Dr. Mayo uses his background as an educator to help patients understand how the human body works.  “With so much health information available to research, most patients appreciate some guidance into what it all means.”

Dr. Kip Mayo and his family

Along with his wife, Laina, and their three children, Dr. Mayo is excited to be a part of the New Braunfels community. “Chiropractors promote a conservative approach to any health issue.  We start with the least invasive methods and safest alternatives.  Because of this approach the public is realizing chiropractic care is the best place to start when facing their health concerns.”

Dr. Wes Asks some important questions of interest to New Braunfels residents - Chiropractor New Braunfels Dr. Wes Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
How does headache medication find the headache?
It can't! Chiropractors know that when you ingest a drug and it enters your bloodstream it numbs or deadens your entire body. Chiropractic adjustments, on the other hand, are specific, targeted and delivered with precision.
